72 foot Eco-friendly Ganesh at Shilparamam by Tv9

TV9’s Green Ganesh stands tall amongst hundreds of idols of Hyderabad, towering at 72 feet, bestowing  blessings on Chaturthi day. Governor Narasimhan, with wife Vimala, offered the first prayers. Credit goes to CEO Ravi Prakash for making his vision a reality. Workers from Bengal were roped in and they worked day and night for 15 days. Clay was brought specially from the banks of the Ganga, an iron structure was made, they did the padding with hay, painted the idol with natural plant colours. And lo and behold! You get to see something huge and awesome .. which you feel like truly calling it Eco-friendly, that is totally safe for the environment. For the 3rd year in a row, TV9 has taken up the Green Ganesha initiative

GREEN GANESH

For those who thought that it is impossible to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi while keeping the water bodies clean, Tv9 took an oath to make it possible. From the past 2 years Tv9 has been fighting for  Eco-friendly Ganesh idols. It was tough enough to make people to do it the right way, so tv9 itself made a 70 feet high Eco Ganesha at Durgam Cheruvu in Hyderabad. Ravi Prakash CEO TV9 has taken special interest in this project. He started this initiative in TV9 Maharashtra and TV9 Telugu. Both the Chief Ministers of the two states have supported this noble initiative.
